Prosper Cables – Core Line Desktop
The Core Line Desktop is a special short-length version of the Prosper Cables Core Line XLR interconnect, created in collaboration with Sound-Solver and available exclusively through Sound Solver.
Jeremy at Prosper Cables and I have gotten to know each other through the audio community, and this collaboration came about pretty naturally. Sound-Solver’s desktop racks are designed to keep compact systems clean, organized, and thoughtfully laid out. Standard-length interconnects simply aren’t ideal when two components may be only inches apart.
So we created the Core Line Desktop — the same materials, construction, and attention to detail as Prosper Cables’ standard Core Line XLR, built specifically in the shorter lengths that make sense for Sound Solver desktop systems.
It’s a simple collaboration between two small businesses that care about making things well — and about making products that work well together.
The Core Line Balanced Interconnect is built around a refined signal architecture designed for improved conductor consistency, stable shielding behavior, and long-term system integration across both studio and high-fidelity applications.
Part of the Prosper Cables Core Line, this tier builds upon the Classic foundation with enhanced conductor materials, increased dielectric refinement, and a more specialized balanced cable platform developed specifically for low-noise analog signal transfer.
These cables are constructed using a fully shielded balanced cable featuring silver-plated oxygen-free copper (OFC) conductors, an upgrade over the standard OFC copper option, along with precision-controlled insulation materials and low-capacitance geometry intended to support stable signal transmission and consistent electrical behavior across a wide range of systems.
Compared to the Classic Line, the Core Line places greater emphasis on conductor refinement, dielectric performance, and overall material execution while maintaining the same straightforward, reliability-focused design philosophy.
Each cable is hand-built in Prosper, Texas, with careful attention to conductor preparation, solder integrity, strain relief, and final inspection before leaving the bench.

Measuring Instructions:
Because these cables are designed for compact desktop systems, please measure your setup before ordering.
A phone charging cable or similar flexible cable works very well as a measuring guide.

Connect or position the charging cable between the two XLR connections, following the path you want the finished cable to take.

Do not pull the cable tight. Allow it to form a natural, relaxed bend between the components, as shown in the listing photo.

Measure the cable from the point where it meets one piece of equipment to the point where it meets the other.

Add 1.5 inches to that measurement. This accounts for the portion of cable that extends inside the two XLR connectors during construction.

Example: If your measurement from equipment to equipment is 10", order a 12" cable after adding 1.5" and rounding up.
